<< Background >>Eurobug, for nearly a decade now, has been led by first and second-generation migrants, and has operated as a platform for young migrants to develop initiatives locally and internationally. After this decade of projects, we have reached a point where many former participants from earlier years are operating the ogranisation. This of course has led to many reflections among the project team of what drew us all to Eurobug, how we can reproduce that for the next generations, and what the new needs of migrants in Ireland may be. In 2020 we reflected on these needs, and Eurobug's needs and saw action was needed in several areas: reigniting our local and international communities post/during COVID-19, and critically reflecting on our migrant-focused work.To meet these needs we designed the cooperation with two of our core partners, from years of KA1 cooperations, (Europimpulse, Eurobug LT) and one partner experienced in Horizon Europe level migrant participation projects, with the aim to connect all of our experiences and communities in an 18-month long cooperation that would help crystalise and share the organisational knowledge developed by EB over the years regarding young-migrant led projects. << Objectives >>To connect young migrant communities in IE/DE/ES/LT and to build their capacities in civic participationTo connect migrant-led NGOs in IE/DE/LT/ES and support their growth and capacity building in the field of migrant platforming To collect and share expertise in migrant participation from our partners and local organisationsTo energise and develop a sustainable network of young migrants and NGOs working in the area of migration (the Migration in Dialogue network) << Implementation >>During the implementation of the project, we carried out several activities to achieve our objectives. These activities included:1. Three TPM/APVs: held to discuss project progress, share ideas and plan for future activities.2. Youth-Led Research/Development actions: We conducted research and development activities to create case studies that would be used in the project.3. Advanced Planning Visit: This visit was carried out to prepare for the Youth Exchange and ensure that all necessary arrangements were in place.4. Joint-Staff Training: We organized a training program that piloted e-Learning content and provided training for youth ambassadors.5. Blended Mobility Youth Ambassador training: This training program aimed to provide young migrants with skills and knowledge on how to engage in civic activities that respond to their talents, interests, culture, and community they live in. This included a 12 months mentoring program in DE/IELT/ES.6. Final Evaluation Meeting/Conference and Multiplier Events: We held a final evaluation meeting/conference where we presented the results of the project and discussed its impact. We also organized multiplier actions to disseminate project results to a wider audience. << Results >>Outputs:- Youth Ambassador Program: Training of 20 Migrant Youth Ambassadors through Blended Mobility- Migration in Dialogue Network: Launch of a network that supports mentoring and networking opportunities for young migrants.- Charter for migrant-inclusive NGOs: A document outlining the principles and guidelines for NGOs to become more inclusive of migrants in their activities and governance.- Joint-Staff Training: A training program on migrant accessibility measures for NGOs.- Broad dissemination and evaluation of the project: Stimulated dialogue on migrant access through Multiplier Events (MEs) and a final conference.Outcomes:- Empowering young migrants and migrant led NGOs, through building networks and key competences.- Strengthening the capacity of the consortium to engage in future KA2 (Key Action 2) - From our mentoring groups in IE/DE/LT/ES we saw concrete, youth-led outcomes: 3 solidarity projects approved, and one new NGO launched in Madrid (KAMM Artistic Europe). These young-migrant led initiatives are what we wanted to generate when we applied for this project, and will continue to have impact beyond this projects lifetime.
