"<< Background >>The project ""Academy of Sustainable Development - ESG Management"" responded to the need for a new model of managing the sustainable development of enterprises. Over the past three decades, governments and businesses around the world have been mobilizing to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN 2030 Agenda. The European Green Deal has become a key strategy towards climate neutrality by 2050. This requires a fundamental transformation of business management systems and a transition to green economic models. Project partners tried to change awareness of sustainable management. A significant challenge was the lack of knowledge about environmental protection and economic benefits from eco-innovation. The project was intended to prepare enterprises for a new management model by defining new competences and opportunities to acquire them.The project was implemented in partnership: University of Tourism and Ecology (Poland), European Ecocycles Society (Hungary), Green Industry Foundation (Poland), Edu Smart (Ireland). The project's assumptions resulted from the previous cooperation between the partners and common experiences.<< Objectives >>The aim of the project was to increase awareness and competences related to sustainable development and ecological approach among the management staff of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. By developing an innovative Training Program - Sustainable Development - ESG Management, the partnership aimed to prepare managers to effectively manage changes in the context of sustainable management.Additionally, the project was intended to influence the adaptation of vocational education to the needs of the labor market, adequately preparing specialists for new challenges and responsibilities resulting from the European Green Deal.<< Implementation >>The following activities were carried out as part of the project:Preparatory:A work plan and a detailed schedule were developed. Project documentation and partnership procedures were prepared. Project management:All activities in the project were properly coordinated.Finances and budget were managed.The substantive and operational process of creating project results was supervised. The progress of work was monitored.An evaluation of the project was carried out.Development of project results:Expert work was carried out, which led to the development of 6 results of intellectual work. International meetings:Four international meetings were organized and conducted.The meetings were aimed at planning, verifying and summarizing the partners' work. Dissemination activities:3 dissemination seminars were organized in each partner country.A plan was implemented to disseminate the project both within and outside the partnership, on various local, transnational and international markets.Summarizing and closing the project:Monitoring and evaluation of the entire project was carried out. Final reports were prepared.Financial settlement has been made.The final products and results of the project have been approved.<< Results >>Quantitative results:4 international meetings were organized.One report on the examination of the competences of management staff in the field of sustainable development management in the enterprise was prepared in three language versions (English, Polish, Hungarian).One description of sustainable development management competencies was created at two levels of advancement in three language versions (English, Polish, Hungarian).Two training programs on Sustainable Development - ESG Management have been prepared (Sustainable Development - ESG Management Course Program for middle management staff, and Sustainable Development - ESG Management Course Program for senior management staff). Both training packages are available in three language versions (English, Polish, Hungarian).One self-assessment form (needs survey) was prepared, available in three language versions (English, Polish, Hungarian).Two sets of development material packages on Sustainable Development - ESG Management have been developed, consisting of various elements such as multimedia presentations, worksheets, case studies, work scenarios, podcasts and infographics.Three dissemination events were carried out at the end of the project, one in each country."
