Communitas: Cultivating community through challenging times

<< Objectives >>We aim to equip youth workers with tools to cultivate resilient communities, even in the face of division. By fostering self-awareness, we empower facilitators to navigate group dynamics, bridge divides, and strengthen social cohesion. The project will provide practical methods for engaging communities in dialogue, addressing polarization, and creating inclusive spaces. Ultimately, we strive for a ripple effect where empowered youth workers shape communities that connect through their challenges<< Implementation >>The project consists of four activities: 1) A training to equip youth workers with tools for fostering strong communities through self-reflection. 2) A Training of Trainers to teach participants how to facilitate these methods for others. 3) Video documentation of the trainings, along with six short videos on key topics in community-building to inspire and simplify the work. 4) Local events within each partner community, where trained facilitators will engage others in community cultivation.<< Results >>The project will empower youth workers to cultivate community by developing skills in self-awareness, group facilitation, and conflict navigation. These facilitators will bring their learning back to their communities, creating more inclusive spaces. The video resource will be widely shared, increasing access to the methodology and inspiring more people to adopt reflective practices. Local events will spark conversations about social cohesion, extending the project’s impact across Europe.
