EUropean Standards in Agriculture, Forestry & Environment management to increase sustainable and safe use of pesticides and hazardous chemicals.

<< Objectives >>EU-SAFE aims at achieving the following results:- encouraging a safe use of pesticides among workers;- creating innovative VET approaches to an awareness of the safe use of chemicals within stakeholders;- developing new training experiences & a new certification to recognize skills via innovative European qualifications accredited by ABA;- implementing latest EU directives in terms of environmental protection;- promoting continuous professional development in agriculture/forestry sectors<< Implementation >>The project will implement the following activities in the 36-months period:- 6 transnational meetings- 5 multiplier infodays to involve stakeholders- a new certification path, available in each EU country, accredited by ABA International- a Podcast to raise awareness about pesticides impacts & EU approach- a freely-accessible KDB to VET providers & learners, to gain skills- Guidelines & Standard Setting to develop shared safe working techniques - 4 international Pilot Testing events<< Results >>EU-SAFE foresees tangible and intangible results, such as:- development of common guidelines & standard setting regarding sustainable use of pesticides- development of a new certification path available in Europe to implement EU directives- increasing cooperation among EU countries to establish common policies in sustainable use of pesticides- enhancing professional development & qualifications- ultimately, a reduction of environment impacts & increased environmental awareness & protection
