Green Horizons: Leading the Way in Environmental Service Learning

<< Objectives >>The project aims to empower educators with the tools to integrate green skills into the curriculum for the cultural and creative sector, as well as to create a coordinated approach that aligns with the partner’s commitment to green awareness. Together, the LCL and EduTech will nurture environmentally conscious students and contribute to innovation in vocational education.<< Implementation >>The project will implement a total of three activities, as described in the activities section:1. Development of Assessment Tool to evaluate SBL effectiveness.2. Development of Handbook for Teachers on integrating green skills into the education of learners in the cultural and creative sector.3. Launch of service-based learning initiative based on the Assessment Tool and the Handbook which benefit the local communities and Validation of the results.<< Results >>Firstly, it seeks to elevate teachers' proficiency in sustainability and climate change topics, ensuring they impart updated knowledge. Secondly, the project will formulate Service-Based Learning approaches tailored for both VET learners and secondary school students, aligning with the unique needs of the creative sector. Lastly, the initiative focuses on involving students in impactful initiatives that contribute positively to local communities, fostering improvements and hands-on experiences.
