<< Background >>The application was a joint decision of partners involved in the hospitality and hotel sector as well as in the education sector. Based on our own monitoring of the market situation after the pandemic and after a short international online survey, we decided that it was time to try to develop changes in the field of online training for the hospitality industry by introducing more quality awareness. Although we are aware of several international standards for quality in training, we wanted to highlight the need for criteria and standards for this activity, precisely in order to focus on the hospitality industry. The pandemic period has, in addition to other damage, allowed the creation of a flood of online content, which is also of poorer quality. The main need addressed to the wider global market is the need for quality online training, for the creation of an online hub to provide access to information in one place for multiple audiences, including individuals with fewer opportunities, then the need for additional information to broaden horizons (resources, innovation), then the need for a digital approach, new skills and competence development, the need for quality assurance and the need for partners internationally cooperation.<< Objectives >>The project aimed to achieve a higher quality of education and training, improved competences of individuals, greater synergy between the education sector and beyond (training providers, training clients, individuals in training), integration of project results into the regular work of organisations in the hospitality sector, greater accessibility of training, especially for disadvantaged groups, due to the online training, and strategic use of ICT tools. The project also aimed to improve the quality of education and training, to improve the quality of education and training. Above all, we wanted to develop accessible and high quality digital learning for the hospitality industry, to provide a universal entry point for an online hub with a rich set of online training courses for the hospitality industry, to bring overview and order to the offer through the certification of hospitality training courses and training providers. We wanted to develop the planned project results, i.e. the HOSEICO quality standard for organisations and training, the online hub and the test training for quality evaluators. Above all, we wanted to follow the project objectives and respond to a global need in hospitality industry.<< Implementation >>Within the project, we carried out project management activities, where we held regular consultation and coordination partner meetings, prepared the basis and templates for project communication, carried out activities for the development and implementation of certification of training programmes and certification of organisations developing, offering or delivering online training, within the framework of which we prepared a set of written products and a manual. We have carried out activities to develop and implement an online hub and a set of relevant content, we have carried out activities to train evaluators, we have carried out dissemination and engagement activities with the local community in the framework of which we have organised a major closing event, and we have carried out activities to evaluate the project and the project outputs. We implemented crisis management activities and planned activities for the follow-up and impact of the project outputs after the end of the project. Above all, we focused all our efforts on the development of quality project outputs, i.e. the web hub, on the development of rich quality standards and on the implementation of quality test training for quality evaluators.<< Results >>The concrete results of the project are: - an online hub (www.hoseico. com) to showcase certified trainings, resources, innovations, quality standards, certification and the information about the project in three language versions; -the quality standard for the certification of online training and online provider-organisations, which was presented in a manual specifically for organisations and specifically for training providers, and enhanced with a self-evaluation process as a guide to facilitate its use after the end of the project; - a pilot online training for a group of 20 online training evaluators from 15 different countries; A number of written documents and materials were produced for the web hub, including a handbook on quality in online training in the hospitality sector, articles on the topic quality in online training in hspitality sector and a series of documents with the aim of improving the quality of the user experience of the web hub visitor. We have also produced materials for the training of evaluators, a complete graphic design with a series of logos, dissemination activities, a closing event and we planned a major promotional event after the project.
