<< Objectives >>The project aims to engage urban communities in adapting to the climate and biodiversity crisis through nature-based solutions. By raising awareness, demonstrating, educating and training about NBS, and promoting participation, citizens and local civil society will be empowered and trained to collaboratively implement small-scale NBS as a means to co-shape urban areas in a sustainable manner thereby creating community-driven models that can be replicated across different urban areas in Europe.<< Implementation >>The project will map key stakeholders, conduct surveys on stakeholders needs, and foster knowledge exchange between project partners. NBS tours, DIY guidelines for NBS implementation and seminars will make NBS tangible for participants. Hands-on workshops on small-scale NBS will be paired with vision workshops and the co-creation of exhibitions and recommendations for municipalities. Videos, webinars, tutorials, a website and project communication ensure the project's impact beyond its scope.<< Results >>The project enhances community engagement in NBS through education, active participation in living labs, and policy recommendations. Excursions, DIY kits, and workshops train citizens, while tutorials and guides support replication. Creating small-scale NBS, exhibiting them and developing roadmaps for civic engagement in NBS planning empowers participants. Sustainable partnerships strengthen climate adaptation and biodiversity efforts, and dissemination promotes scalability across Europe.
