<< Objectives >>We want to improve the quality of life of older people all over Europe. Their numbers are increasing and they want to grow old in familiar surroundings. To make this possible, innovative housing models are needed in rural municipalities, as this is where the demand is highest. These projects must be community-led. We are therefore training process facilitators who can facilitate municipal processes and qualify citizens so that they can develop, implement and manage the housing models themselves.<< Implementation >>Best practice examples are researched, analysed and edited. Excursions are created and tested. A training programme for process facilitators will be created and carried out in 6 blended learning modules. Subsequently, committed citizens in all countries will be trained, with at least 1 training module being carried out during the project period and others afterwards. Pilot processes will be launched in municipalities in parallel. A campaign will create and strengthen awareness of AiP.<< Results >>Best practice examples are collected in a database and prepared (for excursions), curricula and training courses for process facilitators and citizens (AiP-Teams) are created and a modular, scalable ageing-in-place municipal process is developed. The AiP-Process is published in a handbook, which also contains background information and selected examples of best practice. Stakeholders at all levels are addressed in an awareness-raising campaign.
