Development of a virtual learning space as a tool for developing students' criticalthinking, communication, collaboration and creativity skills in the context of COVID19.

<< Background >>We aimed at introducing students to new innovative learning spaces and to solve the problems of application of modern teaching/learning methods in social sciences. The needs we have addressed:1. Digitizing the study content by using Virtual reality platform;2. Encouraging students creativity and developing their practical skills by adapting learning content to the younger generation of learners (Generation Z). The milestones of the project are concerned with educational needs of the Gen - Z that seek to use new attractive online tools. Awareness of the main problems and crucial issues and their consequences should be improved during the process of educating students so that they would be aware of new possible ways of learning.<< Objectives >>The VILESA project had the following tasks:1. to solve the problems of application of modern teaching/learning methods in social sciences;2. to create a modern content to supplement traditional educational methods with the latest technologies.3. to encourage creativity and create opportunities for users to get involved in the content creation process themselves.According to the tasks the main project objective was: to solve the problems of application of modern teaching/learning methods in social sciences by digitizing the study content by using Virtual reality platform as a tool for developing students’ critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity skills. << Implementation >>All the activities foreseen in the application were carried out:-first intellectual output named Digitized case studies was created in English and translated into 3 languages with 9 descriptions of practical cases in such study fields: 1.Cartel, 2.Collusion, 3.Insurance, 4.Investment, 5.Promotion, 6. Management, 7.Leadership; 8.Motivation, 9.Economics.-Second intellectual output named A virtual reality platform was created with instructions for virtual cases implementation.--Surveys with HEIs students and teachers to get feedback on the both results were organized.-Shared project results and best practices with involved external HEIs partners networks and internal communities during various dissemination activities and channels.-Pilot testing with HEI students were organized in all 3 partner countries, involving 15-20 students per university.-Multiplier events were organized in 3 countries (LT, LV and PL) in order to share and promote project results.-Feedback session and round tables organized between partner institutions during last TPM in Vilnius, at the end of the project, on December 4th, 2024.<< Results >>1. 9 cases studies;2.
