<< Background >>We applied for this project to support youth workers and youth organizations in facilitating learning and informed discussion about complex global issues, thereby inspiring active citizenship. Young people which advocate for crucial issues like sustainability and human rights often face barriers from fake news and echo chambers. They need high quality of education on those topics provided by youth workers. We applied for this project to create high quality educational materials - e-learning platform and educational materials which give knowledge on those four pivotal topics, which are in the area of interest of young people. Because all of these topics fall under the umbrella of global learning, we created this educational tool and pursued other project activities which were aimed to promote this concept among youth workers and give them possibility to increase their knowledge and gain skills crucial for teaching about them. Through this project, the organizations in this partnership have increased the quality of their programs and the support they offer to youth workers, attracting and retaining more youth workers. As a result, youth workers have received enhanced training and tools tailored to their specific needs. << Objectives >>The goal achieved by project is the increade level of support of youth workers and youth organizations in delivering meaningful global learning across the EU. Thanks to creating innovate educational tool - e-learning platfom and educational materials - the possibilities of target group to deliver high quality of education has increased. We utilized the combined knowledge of three participating organizations FPD, ADK and IDEA to teach about four pivotal topic areas of the project, captured in the form of teaching based on debating methodology. We supported the youth workers and learning of people who were direct participants of the project and also the people reached within our network. We involved youth workers and members of youth clubs who were presented with the project results. Over all activities - both working and creating and testing project results and realising project activities we were promoting an idea of global learning and teaching about debating methodology. The main goal which is achieved is creating a digital educational space, which provides the high quality educational materials for the youth workers, members of youth clubs and other participants involved in the activities conducted by our organizations. << Implementation >>Main activities implemented:1. Creating all three declared results: R1: Training modules for youth workers and trainersR2: Youth worker toolkit on approaching contemporary issuesR3: E-learning platform for individuals and groups2. The developed materials reached while testing around 51youth clubs. The workshops was conducted by - Polska Debatuje reached in total 7 youth clubs while testing - IDEA reached directly 6 youth clubs - also worth to mention that while testing R2 - the testing sessions was conducted for Junior WSDC Dutch team - there are 5 members of it - which are at the same time members of their local youth clubs - it increased the indirect impact, thanks to sharing the knowledge from this project to local clubs - ADK reached - ADK thanks to their structure managed to reach 42 youth clubs - throught the youthworkers who participated in testing process - this advantage of ADK helped as to strongly boost up the dissemination and reach of the project.3. During this sessions the feedback from the youth workers and young people was collected - which was then discussed internally by the persons in charge of creating the materials. Combining the feedback from this session, with broad experience of the organisation with educational activities and creating educational materials, allowed us to create results which are well-designed and adjusted to the needs of the target group. Testing the same materials across Poland, Netherlands and Czech - helped to get rich perspective and get to know different local and national contexts. It allowed to create the project results which are applicable to diverse groups. The form in which the concepts are explained is inclusive and takes into consideration the situation of the youth workers and young people who come from minorities. There were two LTT metings: one in Warsaw in 11.2022 and second in Prague in 07.2023. Those sessions were the excellent opportunities for youth workers from Poland, Netherlands and Czech to gather, share the experience in teaching about problems cover by global education. During this meetings, there were a sessions in which the project results, the content of them, the idea of the project and knowledge gathered in it was created. Also the feedback regarding the project was collected - which increased the quality of them and helped to tailor them to the needs of the target group. At the end of the project there were a multiplier events in Poland, Czech Republic and Netherlands. The events were filled with educational sessions, where they were presented with the project results - by in person trainings, discussion session on developed methods and testing of the e-learning platform. - Polska Debatuje organised the Multiplier Event in Gdańsk in 25.04.2024 - it was conducted in the cooperation with Ergo Foundations - which helped us to gather 36 youth workers- IDEA - IDEA organised Multiplier event in April 2024 which gathered 11 youth workers- ADK - ADK organised two multiplier events in March and April 2024 which gathered in total 47 youthworkers. To sum up, project succeded to reach the planned results, and has brought significant educational added value to the participants. It increased the awareness of the learning about global issues using the concept of new global learning. What is crucial, the main project results were created and provided - which increased the educational possibilities of youth workers in working with their groups. << Results >>The main project outputs presented are: R1: Training modules for youth workers and trainersR2: Youth worker toolkit on approaching contemporary issuesR3: E-learning platform for individuals and groupsEvery result was creating in tight cooperation of Polska Debatuje, IDEA, ADK and Learning Wizard. All participating organisation were taking part in the works on the concept, general outline, content and final shape of the project outcomes. They also conducted proper testing with the youth workers and the young people, who were giving them feedback on the activities, which was later appropriately implemented to the created educational platform and materials. We also reached 83 youth workers in total during our multiplier event. 5. All of the project results are available in English, Polish, Dutch and Czech languages. The other organisations within our network (gathered under IDEA umbrella) have the right to translate the documents into their own languages. The materials in the form allowing to easy translation to other languages will be shared among 6. The youth workers participating in project were from Poland, Czech Republic and The Netherlands. They came from different social backgorunds, settings and cultures. They were given a space to share their experience, the obstacles and findings on teaching about the global problem. They shared their perspective on the areas covered in project results, which helped us to enrich the project materials on different contexts. 7. The project helped us to improve the relations with youth workers, who were participating in the project. It helped us to extend out network and helped us engage them to other educational activities accross all participating organisations. 8. Thanks to testing process, LTT meetings and multiplier events the project results were shared across the wide group of youth workers who have now the access to the project results. Thanks to the extensive network of International Debate Education Association the project results are shared across the umbrella organisations. Thanks to that youth workers gathered in all of the organisation registered in the IDEA network will be able to use the results in their educational adtivities. Those organisation gather many youth workers from whole Europe, which guarantess that the project outcomes will be replicated outside this partnership. 9. All of the chapters in the project results are the issues which are often subject of a intense discussion. The project gives a tools which teach about those aspects using debating methodology (giving f.e. example topics, debating exercises, ready to use arguments in discussion and the broad description of the debating approach to education. It all creates the space for the informed discussion across all of those subject areas. Our project successfully achieved its goals by developing three key outcomes: training modules for youth workers and trainers (R1), a youth worker toolkit for approaching contemporary issues (R2), and an e-learning platform for individuals and groups (R3). These results support educators in creating spaces for informed discussion across various subject areas, including politics, economy, geography, ethics, philosophy, and STEM subjects. The training modules (R1) and the toolkit (R2) provided youth workers with methodologies and resources to address global education topics such as globalization, identity, media, and sustainability using debate techniques. The e-learning platform (R3) facilitated accessible learning and discussions, helping to foster a deeper understanding of the implications of scientific and technological advancements on societies and individuals.
