Young ambassadors for United Nation Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

<< Objectives >>The project aims to enhance awareness and understanding of EU rights and values through training seminars, workshops, and information dissemination, focusing on the rights of Persons with Disabilities. Grounded in the European Disability Strategy 2021-2030 and the UNCRPD, it seeks to empower Young Persons with Disabilities as ambassadors who advocate for inclusion, democracy, dignity, and equal participation by educating both citizens and PwDs, fostering respect and awareness in society.<< Implementation >>We will implement training seminars, interactive workshops, and peer-to-peer sessions for YPwDs, develop an easy-to-read training toolkit, and run awareness campaigns targeting parents, local authorities, and communities, ensuring broad outreach and lasting impact.<< Results >>The expected results will be a trained group of YPwDs as UNCRPD ambassadors, enabling them to advocate for their rights and train others. The creation and development of easy to read training materials & awareness raising campaigns will enhance understanding on disability rights across communities, fostering stronger civic engagement, policy participation & societal inclusion for YPwDs. In the long run, this will empower YPwDs to become leaders in their communities and promote systemic change.
