The main aim of the project is to develop scouting and the youth civil society field in the region of Western Balkans, enabling young people to engage in quality non-formal education activities that promote active citizenship for all young people, especially young people with fewer opportunities, including minorities and marginalized youth. In order to achieve our aim, the youth organisations taking part in this project will receive tailor-made, country and region-specific capacity building, which includes peer-to-peer learning, staff development, educational methods training, organisational development support and more, as further described in the work packages. O1. Strengthen the capacities of the participating organisations to implement quality non-formal education activities in underrepresented and underprivileged communities with the support of newly recruited and trained local young leaders,O2. Develop innovative non-formal education methodologies that are replicable and can be exploited by others, not only within the Scout movement but also extended to organisations and movements working with young people on a grassroots level,O3. Enhance the management, governance, and leadership capacities of the partner organisations,O4. Recognise non-formal education providers such as Scout youth organisations, as a valuable complementary source of civic education for young people and improve the relationship with relevant governmental authorities and institutions in the region in collaboration with the National Youth Councils. The project aims to reach and engage approximately 2000 young people and youth leaders through its planned activities.
