Hybrid System for students with RemAutism

<< Background >>The RemAutism project was developed to address the critical challenges faced by students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) during the rapid shift to digital education caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The global health crisis exacerbated inequalities in special education, leaving many ASD students unable to adapt to distance learning due to inadequate support systems. Families lacked the skills to manage homeschooling, while special education teachers struggled with insufficient digital competencies and methodologies to effectively guide parents in this process. Recognizing these gaps, we aimed to create a hybrid system integrating distance education and homeschooling to ensure continuity in neurodevelopmental progress. By enhancing the digital and pedagogical skills of teachers, empowering families through innovative tools, and fostering collaboration between adult education centers and special education schools, this project provides sustainable solutions for inclusive and individualized education for ASD students.<< Objectives >>The RemAutism project aims to bridge critical gaps in the education of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by integrating innovative solutions for distance learning and homeschooling. The primary objectives are:- To equip special education teachers with advanced digital skills and methodologies to create interactive, tech-based teaching materials and effectively guide parents in distance learning.- To provide families with the necessary knowledge and tools to transform their homes into conducive learning environments, ensuring continuity in their children's development.- To create a hybrid education system combining tailored homeschooling toolkits and the RemAutism e-platform to support individualized learning for ASD students.- To strengthen ties between adult education centers and special education schools to build sustainable support networks for ASD families.- To ensure that all project outputs, including digital tools and training materials, are accessible, inclusive, and adaptable for future needs.By achieving these objectives, the project strives to advance digital transformation and inclusion in special education at local, national, and international levels.<< Implementation >>- Regular transnational project meetings and also online meetings ensured effective coordination, monitoring, and quality assessment. Activities included progress evaluations, task distribution, and issue resolution among partners.WP2 –This work package produced a comprehensive tool named 'Innovative Methodology to Support Families of Students with ASD' with the page. number of 312. Also, an 18 days training were provided to the teachers.
