"<< Background >>We applied for this project because for several years we have thought about the youth one stop agency model implementation in Baltic countries. With this project we wanted to try out various ways how this concept could be brought to life in Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Georgia. Main issue that we saw in the society (and it is still there) is a huge gap in the labour market - companies need employees for vacancies that no-one wants to do, so they are understaffed, but young people want to be in the professions that are not demanded. It creates this complicated situation that there kind of are many available vacancies, but at the same tame many young people are unemployed. With this project was continued some work we have done preciously to develop different approach to this problem, test it and implement in a wider scope. << Objectives >>With this project we wanted to prepare new specialists and to try out various good practices in all partner countries, that could be compiled in one material available to anyone who wants work on the same issue we were working on, during this project. At the same time we wanted to prepare the local and national networks in partner countries, to be ready for the next project, that is currently already started - to open the first youth one stop agencies in the Baltics. Of course during this project we already wanted to help specific young people, support them in their career paths..<< Implementation >>In this project we implemented:1) Training courses - Preparing new specialists that are able to work more on an individual level. Two training courses wasimplemented about topics "" “Youth One Stop Agency” and ""Individual youth mentoring""2) Implanting local activities. In each partner country we implemented local youth employment education activitieslike job shadowing, networking with local business owners, lessons in school, visits to companies, conferences etc.3) Study visit. Project partners came to Latvija, Liepāja and discussed potential partnerships for future projects, what needs to be included in the handbook, discussed content, ideas and agreed on their responsibilities.4.) Development of the handbook. This handbook will serve as a source of inspiration for others, such as NGOs, municipalities, and educational institutions, who wish to promote and seek ways to strengthen the issue of youth employment. In the handbook we combined explanations of what is youth one stop agency, how does it work in Finland, how it can be adapted in other countries and what good practices we implemented in the partner countries.<< Results >>Throughout the course of this project, we’ve achieved several transformative results that will continue to create impact long after the project’s end.1)Establishing the first youth one stop agencies in Latvia and Lithuania. We are launching the first-ever Youth One Stop Agencies in Latvia and Lithuania, with guidance from Finnish experts. These centers will serve as dedicated spaces where young people can receive comprehensive career guidance, skill-building resources, and mentorship—all in one place.2)Developing a training program with global reach. We crafted an international training program that can be adopted by organizations and countries worldwide. This program equips new specialists with the skills needed to effectively support young people in Youth One Stop Agencies, setting a standard for high-quality youth employability training.3)Creating a dynamic network of entrepreneurs and innovators. We’ve built a strong network of entrepreneurs around our partner organizations who are committed to tackling youth unemployment.4)Engaging over 1,000 young People in employment education and innovation. With participation from over 1,000 young people in employment activities, we’ve pioneered new methods."
