"<< Background >>The main reason why the ""Wheel of Impact"" project was applied was due to the prevalent organizational challenges experienced in associative bodies during last years: conflicts among members and board, economic management, decision-making power, access to information or abuse of power exerted by the president or other board members among others. These challenges underline the need to enhance project management standards within the third sector across Europe. Additionally, non-profit organizations face difficulties in maintaining multiple initiatives with limited resources and struggle with managing interdependencies between projects. To address these needs, the project aims to develop an evaluation and support process tailored to smaller and newer organizations, facilitating improved project impact and fostering innovation. The project aimed to provide essential guidance and resources to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of non-profit initiatives throughout the continent by focusing on addressing these critical needs, empowering non-profit organizations and enablying them to achieve greater impact and success in their activities thanks to higher awarness and tools created.<< Objectives >>The main objectives of the project were to support NGOs and informal groups with their respective youth workers. This support involved enhancing their awareness and knowledge of project management and developing a strategy to evaluate and increase the impact of their strategies and actions, particularly focusing on education and digital education. Additionally, the project aimed to create a new tool, especially usable on digital channels. To achieve the objectives, the project:- Developed an evidence-based theoretical tool and development model for evaluating the societal impact of youth workers, informal groups, and organizations with a focus on education and digital education.- Created an innovative and tested multidisciplinary curriculum for promoting digital education and improving project management quality.- Enhanced the competences of youth workers, trainers, project managers to effectively engage in the ""impact-making"" process.- Raised awareness about importance of project management and the necessity of a strategy to evaluate impact.- Establish a network of organizations actively involved in promoting the topic.- Developed the ""Wheel of Impact,"" a comprehensive tool for analysis, evalution and awarenes rising.<< Implementation >>The development of the “wheel of impact” project involved the implementation of the following activities: - First, a research phase was carried on by the tree partner associations. This phase is divided into two steps: An initial analysis carried out by each partner and, later on, with the information gathered, the creation of the evidence-based theoretical tool and development of the model “the wheel of impact” which happened from June to November 2023 - Subsequently, organizing four Monitoring Meetings. These meetings served specific purposes: kick-off, mid-term evaluation, evaluation wrap-up online, and an offline meeting involving experts from various fields and countries in Italy during the research phase. - Following a Pilot Training Course hosted by the applicatn partner from 3rd to 10th May 2023 in Lecce to draft, test, and develop a 6-day training curriculum tailored for the target audience's direct use and consolidating the results of the research.- Lastly, conducting dissemination events across three different countries to raise awareness of project management and the importance of impact evaluation strategies. These events engaged over 140 direct participants and disseminated project results to a broader audience.<< Results >>The project generated various outputs and results: - Specific events were successfully held: the implementation of the Pilot Training Course in Lecce in May 2023 involving participants coming from the three partners and Ashoka as guest, follow-up events organized by the three partners, in Italy it happened in Lecce and Bologna.
