Higher Education Institutions need to integrate knowledge management in internationalization since it provides added value to quality processes and continuous improvement of their missionary functions. In this way, the management of information and data constitutes a valuable resource for making precise decisions and moving towards a digital data governance model that allows for reliable and accurate information at once. Therefore, it is necessary to have tools that allow the LATAM HEIs to capture, store, and articulate information from the different areas of the universities that relate to internationalization processes. There is a need to design tools and strategies to develop a data governance model for the LATAM Higher EdDigital data governance, at Higher Education Institutions. It is essential to support informed decision-making, protect privacy and security, improve operational efficiency, and support research and innovation in a constantly evolving academic environment. Therefore, the general objective of the project is : To strengthen internationalization strategic management processes of Latin American regional universities promoting collaboration within academic and administrative settings. It is expected that by the end of the project the quality of the internationalization processes will improve by implementing innovative strategies related to data and knowledge management. It is also expected that there is qualification to those staff that relates to the internationalization matters. The sustainability of the strategy and processes would be kept by the design and implementation of the toolkit.
