"<< Background >>The Motto of the project was ''Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.'' Marie Curie As the education world explores strategies to equip students with the skills and knowledge they’ll need to be successful innovators in a 21st century workforce, there has been a growing emphasis on STEAM — the educational discipline that engages students around the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths. STEAM graduates “play a vital role in developing meaningful solutions to societal problems, such as the (COVID-19) public health crisis we are currently facing,” says Michael Milligan, CEO and executive director of ABET, a technology and engineering accreditation organization. Not only does a STEAM framework teach students how to think critically, problem solve and use creativity, it prepares students to work in fields that are poised for growth. According to the ""Strategic framework - Education & Training 2020 (ET 2020)"" the EU's goal is to reduce the number of European students with insufficient skills in the field of mathematics and science, to less than 15% by 2020 "". We wanted our project to cover the needs of contemporary students.<< Objectives >>The project- was based on Three Key Competence under the The European Commission's priorities such as a European Green Deal, a Europe fit for Digital Age and a stronger Europe in the World. The Main Objective of the Project was so that the students were able to figure out that real life situations may be solved with mathematical problems, equations (ERF: Skills: ""…to approach and solve problems in everyday life…,""). That is why the STEM method was used throught the project. << Implementation >>C1 -Project planning, Pedagogical Model for Innovative STEAM in Climate Change in Poland 4 Students -2 teachers C2- How to mitigate Climate Change in Portugal 4 students & 2 Teachers C3- Climate Policy Environment and Innovation in Turkey 4 students & 2 Teachers C4: Virtual Meeting Final Meeting &Exploring STEM in the Real World 10 students & 2 Teacher Local activities:examples- International Forest Day/Water Day /Outdoor Classroom Day/Earth Day/Animal Protection Day/Light Day for all Target Groups.<< Results >>Results:-learning how to effectively use the water at homes and reuse water for various purposes and about renewable and nonrenewable energy -discovering the importance of diminishing garbage via reusing -finding solutions of air, water and earth pollution-changing the attitudes on wasting, recycling & reusing -increasing ICT,linguistic, social cultural and emotional competences, self esteem and future employability The outputs and results can be all found at https://climateliteracyatschools.wordpress.com/project-outcomes/ and include:-different presentations-an ebook with the students' memories from the project's activities https://online.fliphtml5.com/bahar1982/rlit/%C2%A0-project website https://climateliteracyatschools.wordpress.com/-Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/climateliteracyatschools/-Youtube https://www.youtube.com/@climateliteracyatschools-eTwinning projects:Climate Champions: Literacy for a Sustainable Future https://school-education.ec.europa.eu/en/etwinning/projects/climate-champions-literacy-sustainable-future and Sustainable Solutions for Green World via STEAM https://school-education.ec.europa.eu/en/etwinning/projects/sustainable-solutions-green-world-steam-videos from activities- lessons"
