Early Education in Museums for an Inclusive Future

<< Objectives >>MusEdu aims to provide inclusive, high-quality early childhood education by integrating museums into learning, fostering creativity, sustainability, and active citizenship. Through combining art-based approaches with system and design thinking the project promotes active citizenship and sustainability, helping preschoolers develop critical competencies through collaborations with museums.<< Implementation >>MusEdu will develop inclusive, art-based pedagogical content integrating system and design thinking. Educators will receive training on museum-based learning approaches to enhance professional development. Digital Souvenirs including virtual exhibitions, success stories, and gamified museum treasure hunts will enhance learning and the results will be featured through academic research and multiplier events and exhibitions to ensure sustainability and broad impact in ECEC.<< Results >>MusEdu will create an innovative art-based ECEC curriculum and teacher training to enhance museum-based learning. The project will deliver a digital repository of open-source materials, including virtual exhibitions, success stories, and gamified museum treasure hunt—complementing the curriculum. This approach will foster inclusive, sustainable education, empower preschoolers with critical skills, and strengthen school-museum collaboration.
