"<< Background >>The implementation of the project stems from an analysis of the complex situation of ageing adults with intellectual disabilities both globally and in the countries of the project consortium. . as indicated in reports by WHO, IASSID, and Inclusion International, ageing adults are at risk of social marginalisation, neglect, inadequate housing, limited access to health care, and low socio-economic status. Social attitudes towards ageing adults are also unfavourable, and solutions in the context of family and legal carer support are not at a satisfactory level. Barriers also include prejudice, disorganisation in services for ageing people, lack of legal solutions and professionals. Our project responds to the issues identified above, as well as the demographic trend associated with global ageing. The aim was to better prepare families and legal carers of ageing people with disabilities so that the ageing processes experienced are safe and inclusive. The project produced a range of educational materials for the identified target group, a guidebook, a toolkit on inclusive working methods, instructional videos, an online resource database and a report with recommendations on social policy for older people. << Objectives >>The aim of ""Training of family members and guardians for the inclusion of ageing adults with disabilities"" was to develop informal educational materials to support ageing and social inclusion of ageing adults with disabilities.
