DigiDementia: Developing digital practices for tackling dementia

<< Objectives >>By the implementation of the DigiDementia project, we aim to achieve the following objectives: -Implementation of dementia-friendly initiatives in order to reduce the stigma around the disease and provide a targeted dementia care. -Supporting people with dementia and their families in order to deal with the condition. -Introduction of digital practices, incorporating AI technologies, in slowing dementia’s progress and upskill elderly caregivers’ digital skills.<< Implementation >>With the support of the grant requested for Project Management and Implementation, we intend to carry out activities that will be deployed during specific phases of our project but also horizontally all through the duration of it. The activities it encompasses are the following: -Coordination/ implementation activities: implementation of meetings, quality assurance, project reports, quality control -Monitoring and control activities -Information, promotion and dissemination activities<< Results >>The DigiDementia project, it is expected to have the following results: -increase understanding about the importance of dementia as a health priority -provide an opportunity for elderly caregivers and nursing homes to upskill -provide an opportunity for family members to learn more about dementia, help their relatives with the condition and support them -provide a more targeted dementia care strategy, which will result in a high-quality, long-term dementia care
