<< Objectives >>By creating a Manga, we want the participating pupils to develop key competences as well as to address topical societal issues such as awareness of cultural diversity and diversity, refugees or environmental/climate change issues. These issues will be reflected in the “Manga” final product, which is intended to reach the widest possible readership. The participating pupils and the Manga readers will function as multipliers in their communities in Europe.<< Implementation >>In the course of the project, many workshops will be organised by experts on the priority topics. Activities will take place, such as visiting a refugee shelter or planting trees, in order to raise pupils’ awareness of the issues. These experiences certainly will give inspirations for the manga script. At the final stage of the project, our pupils, as ‘experts’, will offer workshops on the art of manga to young people in both countries and will share their experience with others.<< Results >>The specific result to be achieved is the joint creation of a Manga in different languages. Students’ skills for international and intercultural cooperation will be developed in order to be better prepared for the challenges of a globalised world. Young people will gain a multicultural and international schooling experience without this project, especially learners in a disadvantaged situation.
