<< Background >>The DigiTISE project started in the context of the pandemic situation of COVID-19, during which educational establishments have implemented an online teaching set-up. The main need staying at the core of the project was that neither the schools nor the teachers have been fully prepared for carrying out high-quality and efficient online teaching processes. The most disadvantaged in this sense were senior teachers and educators with low digital skills, so the project engaged them as the main target groups. VET teachers, who besides theoretical knowledge have to deliver practical skills, were also targeted. As the needs & expectations of learners changed and online education setups are still popular even after the pandemic, the needs staying at the core of the project are still very much relevant. << Objectives >>DigiTISE wished to digitalise low digital-leveled teachers and prepare them to carry on qualitative online lessons by: (1). Transferring them the know-how on 15 different types of digital tools, and offering them resources to be able to integrate these tools successfully in online teaching, thus to make the learning process more efficient and innovative and the teaching process more qualitative. (2). Increase the digital literacy of teachers- with the help of a series of MOOC courses - and make them capable of reaching the minimum digital-competence requirements any teacher should possess. << Implementation >>The DigiTISE project lasted for 2 years, during which 6 partner institutions implemented the following main activities:1. Project management and quality assurance tasks and activities to ensure a smooth project implementation and reaching the project scopes and objectives;2. Implementing 4 teacher-training sessions to prepare the project-team in carrying on qualitative project results;3. Designing and developing a Handbook containing the description of 15 digital tools, 45 exercises and a set of guides on how these tools can be integrated in online teaching. Later on the Handbook was accompanied with a set video-tutorials which give further guidance in using the tools; 4. Designing and developing 10 MOOC Courses, which guide teachers through reaching a good level of digital competences; 5. Dissemination and exploitation activities to spread the news about our project and results.<< Results >>Except learning outcomes resulting from carrying on the different project-activities, DigiTISE produced 2 main resources dedicated to teachers: a Handbook containing the general description of 15 core digital tools, 45 digital practice exercises for enhancing the quality of online teaching and 10 MOOC courses for the target group for developing teachers’ core digital competencies. Later on in the project these resources were accompanied with a set of 15 video-tutorials related to the most important digital tools included in the Handbook. All these resources are available on the project website: https://digitiseproject.eu/.
