Ecomuseums and Community Museums for Climate Action and SDGs

<< Objectives >>EcoAct aims to empower ecomuseums and community museums as key drivers of climate action and the SDGs by equipping them with tools, knowledge, and mentorship to translate global sustainability goals into local actions. The project will strengthen their role in climate action, promote sustainability education, provide practical resources, develop training and mentorship programs, and enhance visibility and impact in the fight against climate change.<< Implementation >>EcoAct will conduct a comprehensive analysis of good practices in ecomuseums related to climate action and SDGs promotion (WP2). It will develop a toolkit, providing practical guides and resources (WP3), and launch an online training platform (WP4). A mentorship and peer-learning program will foster knowledge exchange among ecomuseums (WP5). All results will be available in open-access formats to ensure broad adoption and scalability.<< Results >>EcoAct will establish ecomuseums as HUBs for sustainability education and climate action. Expected results include a good practices analysis, a toolkit for climate action and SDGs education, an online training platform, and a mentorship program to support emerging ecomuseums. This will enhance environmental awareness, equip ecomuseums with actionable strategies and foster knowledge exchange between organisations and stakeholders on the role of ecomuseums in sustainability at European level.
