Digital paths to motivate and include young 2nd generation migrants in employment

<< Background >>The EMPLOY ME project was initiated to address the pressing need to improve the employability and inclusion of young second-generation migrants in Europe. Despite their high levels of education, this group faces significant unemployment and over-qualification rates compared to native-born residents. These challenges stem from migration-specific obstacles such as language barriers, lack of recognition for foreign credentials, and discrimination based on social and religious grounds, as highlighted by EUROSTAT.Recognizing these challenges, the project aimed to develop innovative training resources to equip young second-generation migrants with essential employability skills and competencies. By enhancing their competitiveness in the labor market, the project sought to facilitate their successful integration into host societies, ultimately benefiting local communities and economies.Additionally, EMPLOY ME fostered a collaborative environment among its partners, promoting knowledge sharing and capacity building.
