<< Background >>The main focus of the project was the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the rationale behind them. Young people realized the importance of saving the world we live in, made their voices heard by expressing their opinions, learned to distinguish fake news, acquired or strengthened their digital skills and learned to be activists to bring about change in and through themselves. They learned to be active citizens who stand up for their rights, respect their obligations and speak their minds. Our goal was to make young people aware of the importance of activism (regardless of politics, group or other interference), of the power that European projects have in a democratic society and that this power must be used fairly and ethically for the benefit of the whole society, regardless of sex, colour, culture, generation, religion, sexual orientation, race, minority group or other factors. We combined activism and the Sustainable Development Goals with the use of digital tools, to educate young European citizens how to use them effectively and creatively, to increase self-awareness and a sense of responsibility for the greater good of society.<< Objectives >>Together with the partners, eight SMART formulated objectives were established.O1-increasing the level of SDGs knowledge among young people.O2 – increasing the level of education in the field of environmental protection by organizing webinars/seminars/study visits, etc.O3-the development of English language skills, of communication skills and effective collaboration, of cultural attitudes and values by organizing 4 LTTA sessions and by organizing 3 TPM.O4- developing collaboration skills by organizing collaborative activities.O5-development of an interactive Sustainable World in Classroom 4.0 Training HandbookO6-developing digital skills and increasing the degree of knowledge of web tools among students.O7- instilling values and the development of attitudes related to the morals and behavior of active citizenship and democratic commitmentO8- holistic and cross-curricular approach and understanding of issues such as: human rights, solutions to humanity's problems, democracy, social equality, peace and international cooperation.<< Implementation >>-over 34 activities focused on the 17 SDGs for a number of 30 students from each partner organization or associated organizations- the organization of 6 webinars/seminars/study visits etc. to increase the level of education in the field of environmental protection, with the participation of over 30 students from each organization- the organization of 4 LTTA sessions (total participants 168 students and 56 accompanying teachers, the duration of each session was 5 days) which aimed to provide information and knowledge about SDGs-organization of 3 TPM (total 63 participants, duration 2 days/TPM)-collaborative activities throughout the project- creation of an interactive training manual entitled Sustainable World in Classroom 4.0 Training Handbook-1 training session on the theme of Using digital tools/Web Tools in each organization- various activities aimed at instilling values and developing attitudes related to the morals and behavior of active citizenship and democratic commitment, the holistic and cross-curricular approach and understanding of issues such as: human rights, solutions to humanity's problems, democracy, social equality , peace and international cooperation.<< Results >>The main result of the project(elaborated within WP4) - The intellectual output of the project entitled – Sustainable World in Classroom 4.0 Training Handbook- - This is a practical approach to the implementation of SDG activities in any school subject matter. - It has a facilitating role in sustainability education. - It is a roadmap for teachers who want to create innovative sustainable projects.
