In today's rapidly changing air transport environment the industry requires access to advanced and comprehensive knowledge, coupled with an in-depth understanding of its needs. The MBA in Aviation will be designed to equip students with the skills required to pursue a successful career in various sectors of the air transport industry, including airlines, airport companies and authorities, civil aviation departments, air transport consultancies and aerospace companies. We aim to develop high-level study programme at Master level, jointly delivered by HEIs from Portugal, Estonia and Finland. The focus will be primarily on defining: the curriculum, admission criteria, quality assurance system, diploma recognition, students and teachers mobility. This project should create a path to accreditation of master program and later on to deliver EMJM. This master program will be a jointly designed and fully integrated curriculum adhering to the Standards for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes in the EHEA. This program will, for sure, increase the attractiveness, integration and internationalisation of the consortium, and we will jointly contribute to the policy objectives of the EHEA, fostering excellence and innovation in aviation management and airport operations. Graduates will depart with a full understanding of the imperatives of change, globalization, technological innovation, and increasingly sophisticated and demanding customers that mark the financial, strategic, and operational environments of today’s airlines, airports, and aerospace firms. There is no doubt that such learning experiences change lives, broaden intellectual horizons and offer new professional perspectives. An institution’s involvement in innovative and collaborative programmes may enhance its international reputation and attract Europe’s best students, and lead to the development of truly European citizenship and cultural understanding.
