<< Objectives >>One of the most intriguing objectives within the European Union is the active participation of its' citizens in all democratic processes and the engagement of everyone in the European way of life. DEER project directly addresses the necessity for incarcerated learners to acquire empirical and practical knowledge, skills and competences for European values, human and civic rights, and the democratic way of European life through concrete deliverables that will be implemented specifically for them.<< Implementation >>The implementation of two distinct, but complementary, deliverables (aka the Handbook for Prisoners and digital lessons in the form of MOOCs), comprehends the most realistic objective of DEER project: promoting the idea of EU values and human rights to disadvantaged (imprisoned) adult learners. Through, the deliverables, the LTTA event, the dissemination material and the multiplier events, the consortium aim to raise awareness to a diverse group of participants in these important aspects of EU.<< Results >>Through the implementation of DEER project and after successful completion, a number of concrete objectives will be addressed and tangible results will be obtained. Namely, DEER project aims at:- promoting the idea of EU and democratic life to a disadvantaged group of people that ask to be part of the European community (immigrants and refugees);- implement tangible objectives, by building sustainable material, with ease of use;- improve social awareness and facilitate an EU-oriented culture
