DeStalk EU - Developing capacities to address stalkerware and digital violence against women across Europe

One in three women in Europe has experienced physical or sexual violence, one in five by an intimate partner. One in ten women has faced cyber violence, such as online stalking and non-consensual sharing of intimate images. The rise of digital technologies has amplified gender-based violence (GBV) creating a harmful continuum. DeStalk EU aims to address the digital dimension of GBV and achieve upgraded know-how through: • Transferring knowledge to victim support services (VSS) and perpetrator programmes (PP) to identify and respond to digital abuse. • Engaging public institutions and decision-makers to support the creation and promotion of territorial responses. • Raising awareness among communities about cyber violence against women and girls (CVAWG) to prevent all forms of abuse. • Empowering victims and offering solutions for both victims and perpetrators to break the cycle of violence. The project will strengthen professional capacities and community empowerment through delivering: • Mutual learning among 10 expert organizations across Europe. • A capacity-building program including e-learning in 8 languages. • Training sessions in 8 countries involving 420+ practitioners. • Adapted toolkits to ensure sustainable work of VSS and PP, and materials for public awareness and prevention, available in 8 languages. • Advocacy actions with the mobilisation of public entities and media in the relevant regions. • Public campaigns reaching 1k people in each country. • National events in 8 countries engaging 240 key actors, and a European event with 60 multipliers. • European guidelines for practitioners to address the digital dimension of violence against women. Thanks to the Erasmus+ framework, DeStalk EU will provide enhanced capacities and tools among over 740 experts in Europe to make a sustainable change in how GBV is addressed and will raise the awareness of 10k people among our communities across Europe to keep relationships safe for everyone offline and online.
