"<< Background >>We applied for this project because we recognized the urgent need to address the challenges faced by persons with disabilities (PWDs) in accessing employment opportunities. According to the ILO report ""COVID-19 and the World of Work: Ensuring the inclusion of persons with disabilities at all stages of the response,"" people with disabilities (PWDs), constituting 15% of the global population, face marginalization in social, economic, and health terms during the crisis. In the WHO European Region, 6 to 10 out of every 100 people live with a disability, with approximately 135 million individuals. Before the crisis, PWDs experienced exclusion in employment, leading to heightened vulnerability to job loss and challenges in returning to work. The proposal aimed to promote a decent quality of life and independent living for PWDs, focusing on inclusion, social protection, and non-discrimination at work. Specific objectives included enhancing knowledge and skills of educators/trainers working with PWDs, raising awareness among SMEs regarding safety and health of PWDs at work, promoting the skills of PWDs to work in safe conditions, and fostering collaboration to improve training and support practices for workers with disabilities. << Objectives >>Our project aimed to achieve several key objectives:- Enhance staff competencies in partner organizations, providing them with improved knowledge and skills for EU project collaboration and implementation.- Develop competencies of participants in inclusive training pilots for workers, focusing on effective risk management and safety in the workplace.- Improve professional competencies of participants in training for trainers pilots, leading to better training practices for workers with disabilities.- Raise awareness and knowledge among participants in multiplier events, enabling them to design and deliver new safety at work training activities.- Provide valuable knowledge and support tools to participants/users/visitors of the Open Learning Space, enhancing their professional performance and employability.Additionally, the project aimed to strengthen partner organizations by enhancing their competence in EU project implementation, developing staff competencies, and fostering collaboration with local stakeholders.<< Implementation >>Safe4all project was structured into several phases, each contributing to achieving project objectives and delivering planned results:PHASE 1: PREPARATION- Activities included organizing the project's start and ensuring high-quality management:- Creation of a contact list for internal communication.- Establishment of a Google Drive folder to share project information.- Discussion on online platforms for project management.- Arrangement of logistics for the kick-off meeting.PHASE 2: MANAGEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION- Activities focused on establishing partnership agreements, communication tools, and administrative guidelines:- Setting up partnership agreements.- Building a cooperation platform.- Establishing internal and external communication tools.- Preparing administrative guidelines and reports.PHASE 3: PRODUCTION OF PROJECT RESULTS- Handbook for Inclusive Vocational Training on Safety & Health (R1).- Toolkit for Training Trainers on Safety & Health (R2).- Recommendations for policymakers on improving safety and health regulations for PWDs (R3).PHASE 4: FOLLOW-UP- Activities included organizing multiplier events, developing project visual identity, creating online presence, and ensuring sustainability:- Organization of four multiplier events.- Construction of project visual identity.- Development of website and social media accounts.- Creation of a newsletter.- Signing commitment agreements for sustainability.<< Results >>In order to achieve the outcomes and project results, the Safe4All consortium worked according to participative methodologies, such as the design-thinking methodology.
