"<< Background >>Europe's continuously evolving and increasingly diverse student population in Europe, in terms of linguistic and cultural backgrounds, requires a shift in mindset and didactic approaches in the multilingual classroom. This has implications for the initial and ongoing training of teachers of all subjects. The current Erasmus+ project addressed the needs of monolingual and multilingual students by aiming to professionalize (future) teachers in the field of multilingualism / multilingual didactics in the European context through scientifically sound, practical training and further educational measures.The project also focused on the evolving needs and requirements of both prospective and practicing teachers: To plan, design, and implement diversity-sensitive, multilingual teaching and school life, it is essential to develop a resource-oriented perspective, raise awareness of the forms and potential of multilingualism, train multilingual didactic competencies, and involve parents or guardians.<< Objectives >>Our project focused on grades 3-6, as this is an important time in a child's educational development. Children of this age are in a phase of orientation and transition (adolescence) marked by cognitive, emotional and physical challenges–a time in which educational paths are decided and when both parents and schools are challenged more than ever due to the aforementioned factors.The aim was therefore to carry out a comprehensive assessment and analysis to integrate newly evaluated concepts into teacher training and professional development, and to implement them directly in schools as part of school development projects. In this way, changes were to be initiated in teacher education and professional development in the field of multilingualism / multilingual didactics, and these changes were to be implemented directly at universities, educational institutions, and schools. The didactic approach also included the spatial design of teaching and learning environments. << Implementation >>Questionnaires and interviews in Germany, Austria, and France kick-started the project, leading to the development of the Multilingual Curriculum 2.0 and the Multilingually-Oriented School Development Concept, drawing on the expertise of the school and academic partners. The Multilingual curriculum builds on the former Erasmus+ ""Menschen im Gespräch"" project, integrating cutting-edge multilingual approaches. Transnational courses were launched, evaluated, and included students from Kosovo. Creative projects at partner schools promoted multilingualism, multiliteracy, and translingual learning, alongside the development and assessment of multilingual teaching materials. A training series for teachers on the culture of multilingualism was based on comprehensive surveys with parents/guardians, teachers and students. The digital platform 'Lingua Creativa' showcases project outcomes, serving as a network and resource hub in multiple languages, supporting teacher education. The project culminated in a dissemination event at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, marking its international impact.<< Results >>Key outcomes of the project include:●The Multilingual Curriculum 2.0, an expansion and further development of the multilingual curriculum produced as part of the Erasmus+ project ""Menschen im Gespräch"" (MiG).●The Multilingually-Oriented School Development Concept, which was developed based on surveys and analyses involving all stakeholders in school life.Both concepts are included in this final report in German, English, and French.Online platform: On the Lingua Creativa website, all materials (teaching materials, courses, trainings, etc.) are available for download, some in multiple languages, with instructions for use. The online platform can also be used to exchange information and for further training. The content on Lingua Creativa will continue to be expanded and updated over the next two years and is maintained by a dedicated webmaster.The data from pilot implementations and surveys have been compiled as synopses and integrated into several publications."
