<< Background >>We applied for this project to address the pressing need for inclusivity in our community's gender-related initiatives. While our previous focus on women's empowerment was important, it inadvertently excluded men. Statistics show challenges faced by both genders, from women experiencing violence to men facing health issues and reluctance to seek help. The project aimed to develop partnerships, enhance intercultural skills, and provide spaces for individuals to express themselves. By challenging traditional gender norms, it seeked to empower individuals to confront societal challenges with confidence.<< Objectives >>Through WO(MEN) Empowerment project we wanted to explore the work with women and men in Poland and Romania, organising various offline and online activities for adults learners which allow them to reflect on their gender roles, develop their emotional intelligence, improve their intercultural competences, get connected with people from different backgrounds and deepen their feeling of belonging to European Union.<< Implementation >>We implemented following activities: - 12 English workshops online - Women and men circles offline (12) and online (12)- 5-days mobility for adults learners of both genders in Poland - 5-days training for facilitators of wo(men) circles in Romania - Multiplying events - 11 circles/workshops/events organised by participants of training for facilitators in their local communities - 2 translational meetings of staff of partner organisations << Results >>The main result of the project is a Booklet - Guide for facilitators with detailed description of methodology of working with women and men which we shared with different local and international organisations and initiatives. Booklet is based on our work within the project and it contains detailed descriptions of various methods and techniques of working with men and women including above all experience of organising women and men circles. Besides, we prepared a 30-minute movie which introduced the idea of women and men work to broaden audience as well as a set of 50 Love Cards with meaningful questions which can be used to deepen and develop our relationships.
