<< Objectives >>The project aims to empower young people by using architecture-based design learning (ADLY) methods to encourage civic participation and engagement. By testing and adapting innovative ADLY methods, we align with the priorities of social inclusion, innovation, and environmental sustainability. We seek to create adaptable and inclusive tools for engaging youth in local spatial design, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility for their communities and the built environment.<< Implementation >>EADLY entails five activities: EADLY Transfer to adapt and exchange ADLY methods, EADLY Labs where these methods are tested in other local contexts, the EADLY Toolbox to document and share methods, an EADLY Network for ongoing collaboration and peer learning, and EADLY Project Management to guarantee EADLY’s impact. These activities will ensure continuous feedback, knowledge exchange, and capacity building for ACOs, youth organizations and youth through architectural and spatial design learning.<< Results >>EADLY facilitates youth engagement in spatial design, emphasizing the critical role it plays in fostering civic participation. By integrating these elements into youth learning, the project helps youth understand how they can influence and shape the spaces around them, promoting sustainable urban development and active citizenship. EADLY builds capacity in organizations developing and working with ADLY methods, enhancing their ability to engage youth in meaningful, design learning activities.
