"<< Background >>The project effectively addressed the needs of young refugees from Ukraine. The project activities were implemented in Poland by the APURE Association for the Development of Regions and in the Czech Republic by the USTAV SOCIALNICH INOVACI OPS.The project provided support in adapting to a new socio-economic environment, offering practical and emotional assistance through planned activities. It is worth emphasizing that the project not only positively impacted the target group but also developed the competencies of the personnel from both organizations implementing the project. The use of modern educational tools allowed for the identification of individual needs of refugees and the effective provision of support. Participants acquired job application skills, supporting their social and professional integration. The overall efforts contributed to improving the quality of assistance provided to refugees by both organizations. In summary, the project comprehensively and effectively addressed identified needs, supporting young refugees in key areas of adaptation and social integration.<< Objectives >>Implementing this project, the main goal was to create conditions conducive to the effective integration of refugees from Ukraine. Through innovative model courses, the project aimed to promote positive prosocial patterns, civic activation, and social initiatives. Focused on two main beneficiary groups—refugees and personnel from organizations in Poland and the Czech Republic, as well as community leaders—the project aimed to impart knowledge about cultural differences, strengthen the values of intercultural dialogue, and promote tolerance for diversity.Through its dual-track approach, the project aimed to educate communities in the partner countries, supporting social engagement. Simultaneously, through educational activities directed at citizens of Ukraine, the project sought to facilitate their integration into new social, educational, and professional environments in Poland and the Czech Republic.The ultimate goal was to prevent the marginalization of the refugee group and increase the social and civic activity of local communities in the partner areas. The project also envisaged an indirect goal—strengthening the partnership's potential by developing the competencies of employees and collaborators in the capacity-building<< Implementation >>Within the project, a series of activities were implemented to support the integration of refugees from Ukraine and develop the competencies of personnel and collaborators from partner organizations. The activities included:Model Course: ""Intercultural Education as a Path to Integration"" - comprehensive education supporting the integration process of refugees.Educational Materials: Development of workshop materials packages titled ""Educational and Vocational Counseling as an Opportunity for a Better Future"" for refugees, focusing on educational and vocational aspects.Conducting a 10-hour course ""Intercultural Education as a Path to Integration"" for a pilot group of 10 refugees based on training scenarios at each of the partners.Evaluation Report: Preparation of an evaluation report based on self-assessment tests from lesson scenarios, assessing the achievement of goals and learning outcomes at each partner.International Meeting: Organization of a meeting facilitating the exchange of experiences and collaboration among project partners. The meeting took place in the Czech Republic on May 29-30, 2023.Dissemination Meetings: Meetings were held on October 13 and 26 in Sucha Beskidzka, and on September 8 and October 20 in B<< Results >>Competence Enhancement: Implementation of activities aimed at increasing the knowledge and skills of project participants in the field of intercultural education and educational-vocational counseling for refugees.Attitude Formation: Actions aimed at shaping positive attitudes of project participants towards civic engagement, commitment to refugees, as well as attitudes of solidarity, dialogue, and openness towards them.Partnership Capacity Building: Activities aimed at increasing knowledge and enhancing the capacity of the Partnership in areas covered by the intervention, in line with the project's objectives.Quantitative effects are presented through:Scenarios of the developed course - 5 scenarios in Polish and English, as well as 5 scenarios in Czech and English.Educational materials.Documents confirming the participation of 20 individuals in the project.Qualitative results include materials in Czech, Polish, and English:Preliminary analyses for course preparation.Substantive report on course preparation.Self-assessment surveys regarding knowledge, skills, and competencies during the pilot course.Evaluation report after the completion of the pilot course."
