The Cosmic Web is the fundamental spatial organization of matter on scales of a few up to a hundred Megaparsec. Galaxies, intergalactic gas and dark matter exist in a wispy weblike spatial arrangement consisting of dense compact clusters, elongated filaments and sheetlike walls, amidst larger near-empty void regions. We propose to investigate the dynamics of the Cosmic Web in the local Universe on the basis of the SDSS and 2MASS redshift survey, and to explore the complex formation and evolution of the filamentary network. The redshift surveys will be processed into a density field by our DTFE technique. Subsequently, constraints obtained from this field will be used for a constrained field reconstruction of the primordial density and velocity field. This allows a detailed evolution of the weblike structure in terms of the analytical adhesion model. Also, we used the recent phase-space tessellation technique to study the density and multistream structure in the local Universe. Finally, we will use the information to construct catalogs of filaments, walls and voids in the Local Universe.
