Description
This project proposed to make use of the flow energy (bubbles by flue gas) for power generation via ferro-hydrodynamics according to Faraday’s law of induction. We have designed and built up an experimental setup including a centimeter-scale bubble column power generator (BCPG). A concept of proof of the BCPG has been achieved from our experiments, with mV scale voltage being generated at low gas velocities. Scalability assessment has indicated that this BCPG is promising to be implemented for recovery of flow energy which is currently wasted in many industries.
