Organoids in time

To study the differentiation of rare, but extremely important intestinal cel types ((Tuft, enteroendocrine and M cells), the consortium had developed a unique analysis pipeline, in which new fluorescent reporters for these celtypes are created, and used subsequently for RNA-sequencing, to analyse gene expression of these celtypes, and for following their differentiation at high resolution by cell tracking in organoids and by intravital imaging directly in mice. New results obtained by the consortium are: the discovery and characterisation of novel Tuft types, first measurements on M-cell lineages during their differentiation and observation of complex Neurog3 expression in enteroendocrine cells.
