This project explores how electricity markets evolve when learning-based agents—such as AI algorithms—interact under real-world constraints like cross-border tranmission capacity and market rules. By combining mathematics, game theory, and AI technologies, I aim to understand how price spikes, inefficiencies, or instability can arise from these interactions. The ultimate goal is to develop models and tools that help policymakers and system operators design electricity markets that are fairer, more resilient, and better suited to high shares of renewable energy—ensuring that advanced technologies contribute to, rather than undermine, a clean and secure energy transition.
