English
Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a public health problem with a high prevalence in all social strata of the population. Compared to other violent offences, IPV is more repetitive in its occurrence; it may occur on a daily basis and/or can last for decades. To improve prevention with IPV victims, a structured need assessment intervention is implemented. Through a cluster-randomized experiment, with control and experimental groups, the effect on re-victimization, mental health and help-seeking behavior is measured. Clinicians will be interviewed, pre- and post implementation, to evaluate the effect of structured need assessment on observations and use of relevant needs.
