MemoryLab – Adaptive Assessment of Memory Decline

Modern digital education tools are often adaptive, they decide on when to present information based on an assessment of a learners knowledge and skills. SlimStampen, an online method for studying facts, bases the scheduling on an assessment of a students rate of forgetting of information. Recent research has shown that this rate of forgetting can be used to predict dementia-related memory problems. In this project we want to assess whether and how we can use this discovery to support screening of large populations and therefore support better and more timely medical interventions.
