Description
The transcription factor GATA2 plays an important role in the regulation of proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells/multipotential precursors. Due to the rarity of these cells, little is known about how GATA2 performs its functions. Here, we propose to identify the protein interaction partners of GATA2 in primitive hematopoietic cells, characterize the biochemical properties of the complexes identified, and analyze their function in vitro in hematopoietic cell culture systems, and in vivo in fish and amphibians.
