There is a pressing need for advanced AI-supported design methodologies, like prescriptive digital twins, to address increasingly complex design and management problems in the field of mobility, transport and logistics. The Mobility DesAIgn Lab studies the ethical, legal, societal, and economic implications of using prescriptive digital twins for urban mobility design and management, enabling stakeholders to start using these prescriptive digital twins responsibly and in compliance with the AI Act, paving the way towards large-scale application. Three tangible example use cases on the introduction of sustainable mobility, car-restrictive interventions, and future traffic management with connected automated vehicles will be studied.
