Description
The goal of the collaboration is to do research at the interface between probability theory, ergodic theory and statistical physics. The Dutch and Hungarian researchers involved in the present research proposal have a long track record in this area. Activities will center around reciprocal short term (1-2 weeks) visits of both parties, long term (3-6 months) visits in the Netherlands of the young Hungarian researchers (possibly one six-month postdoc position in The Netherlands for a young Hungarian scientist), and an international workshop towards the end of the project period.
