Globalisation, Labour Markets, and the Welfare State - GlobLabWS

This project focuses on the complex interaction between the welfare state (WS), globalization and labour markets in determining aggregate employment and productivity performance. We shall study the effects of the WS on the labour market implications of globalisation, and the implications of the WS for countries? macroeconomic performance. The results will shed light on the relative effectiveness of different WS models in countering the labour market and inequality effects of globalisation and to explore the extent to which WS policies contribute to explain differences in aggregate labour market outcomes across countries.
