Attacking Glioblastoma Heterogeneity using Macrophage Metabolic Rewiring and Targeted Therapy

Our team is developing innovative ways to treat brain cancer by targeting immune cells called macrophages. These cells support the growth of aggressive brain tumors like glioblastoma. We created special nanoparticles to reach these cells in the brain and are testing them in zebrafish, mice, and human samples for optimal delivery of drugs. We also developed new methods to trace lipid molecules, understand where these immune cells sit inside the tumor, and how they interact with cancer cells. Our work aims to lead to more precise and effective brain cancer treatments.
